Reset Chrome browser to default settings
When experiencing odd issues within the system such as wrong display or having no sound, the first thing we can try is to reset your Chrome browser.
Before resetting the client's browser, please set customer's expectation that this step will reset their startup page, new tab page, search engine, and pinned tabs. It will also disable all extensions and clear temporary data like cookies. Bookmarks, history and saved passwords will not be cleared.
Follow steps below to reset your Chrome Browser's settings.
On your browser toolbar, click the Chrome menu and go to Settings.
Within the settings page, scroll down to the bottom and click on Advance.
Within the Advance settings page, scroll down to the bottom and click on Reset to open the Reset Window.
Within the Reset Window, press the RESET button to complete the process
For issues such as page delayed in responding or not responding at all, you may also try clearing your Chrome's browser's History, Cache and Cookies
How to Clear your Chrome browser's History, Cache and Cookies
From time to time, Chrome may need to have the cache and cookies cleared. This can help with things like audio issues. Every version of Chrome is slightly different so if you have a different version than the screenshot, things may be in slightly different places.
Before doing so, please set customer's expectation that this step will clear out their browsing history. Signs them out of the sites they are currently logged in and delete cached images and files which may cause some sites to load more slowly on your next visit.
On your browser toolbar, click the Chrome menu. Hover your mouse in History and click History or you can simply press CTRL + H to access the History page
Within the History page, go to the left pane and click on Clear browsing data option
In the Clear browsing data window, select the beginning of time in the time drop down option beside Clear the following items for
In the Item selection, check all but avoid clearing client's saved password, auto form data, content settings, hosted app data and media licenses.
Click on CLEAR BROWSING DATA button to start the clearing process
