You may often want to dial a specific Area Code or several Area Codes at once. To do this, Advanced Lead Filtering (ALF) must be turned on for your account.
To see if ALF is turned on, please go to the Call Center main menu and check if there is a menu option for Advanced Lead Filter. If ALF is not turned on, please contact our Support Team (help@convoso.com) to enable this feature.
Process:
- Click the Call Center main menu.
- Click the Advanced Lead Filters menu option.
The Show Advanced Lead Filters page will open.
- Click the button New Filter button in the top-right.
- The Advanced Filter Configuration page will open.
- Enter a descriptive title in the Name field.
- Click the Add Set button, then click Add Group, then click Add Item.
In this example, we will be filtering for all of San Diego, CA Area Codes.
Select Primary Phone from the drop-down that appears.
Then select Greater than or Equal to operator in the next drop-down.
- In the phone number field, type in the Area Code that you would like to dial followed by seven zeros. (i.e., 8180000000)
At the top of the page, click the Add Set button again, then click Add Group, then click Add Item.
- A small drop-down menu will appear between the sets with AND and OR options. Set this drop-down to AND as seen in the screenshot above.
Once again, select the Primary Phone option, but this time set the operator to Less Than or Equal to the Area Code you would like to dial, followed by 7 nines, (i.e., 8189999999)
If you only want to dial a single Area Code, you are done.
If you would like to add multiple Area Codes, click Add Set again.
- This time in the AND/OR drop-down, select the OR option as in the screenshot above.
Select Primary Phone from the drop-down that appears. Then select Greater than or Equal to in the next drop-down. In the phone number field, type in the new Area Code that you would like to dial followed by seven zeros.
Again, select the Primary Phone option, this time set the operator to Less Than or Equal to the area code you would like to dial followed by seven nines.
- To continue this pattern, alternate the AND/OR drop-down with the AND always being between the identical Area Codes and the OR always being between the different Area Codes.
For multiple Area Codes, your results will appear as follows:
How to Create an Advance Lead Filter that Will Exclude Area Codes
Create a Set with two Groups.
For the first group, select these settings:
- Item = Primary Phone
- Condition = LESS THAN
- Value = Area Code followed by 7 zeroes
For the second group, select these settings:
- Item = Primary Phone
- Condition = GREATER THAN
- Value = Area Code followed by 7 nines
If you need to add another Area Code to be excluded, Create another Set and configure it independently.
- For example, we need to exclude Area Code 818. This is how we do it.
- Another example, we need to exclude Area Codes 313 and 818. This is how we do it.
