Here we will discuss how add an email template. An email template is a pre-made email that can be sent to leads when a predefined action is taken. This is usually configured together with Workflow Automation and is usually triggered by a specific status or disposition being selected.
From the Dashboard, click on Account and select Email Templates.
You can add an Email Template by clicking Add Email Template
In the Create Email Template Section, configure the Email Template Information
Name: This will be the name of the email template.
Signature: Select which default signature you want to use when sending the email template (not mandatory).
Insert Field: Select which field you want to insert and press either the Subject, Body, or Meta Tag on the right to select where to insert the field you selected in the drop down menu. Example: Selecting First Name field from the drop down and clicking on Subject button added the First Name field id to be sent into the email subject.
Insert Signature Field: Select which signature field you want to insert and press either the Subject, Body, or Meta Tag on the right to select where to insert the field you selected in the drop down menu. Example: Selecting Address1 signature field from the drop down and clicking on Subject button added the company field id to be sent into the email subject.
Subject: Enter the subject for the template.
Fill in the Body of the email.
If you click on Meta Tag button, an Add Meta Tag window will appear.
Type in the Name of this Meta Tag
The Content is already filled with values based on the field you selected.
Click on Add
In this example, we selected the First Name field. We will name it First Name and the content has the value already.
Scroll down and the list of all Meta Tags created is in Meta Tags Section
If you need to add Additional Meta Tags and you want to edit the Content Value, click on Add Meta Tag button.
An Add Meta Tag window will appear but this time, you can manually add both Name and the Content of the Meta Tag.
It is optional to Add Attachments (You may add up to 10 attachments to your email template to be sent to your customers) Click Browse to look for the document located on your computer.
Click on Add Email Template button at the bottom of the page to fully create your new email template.
Email Templates is setup together with Workflow Automation that triggers the sending of the email when a specific status or disposition is selected.
