Overview
A PBX (Private Branch Exchange) is a phone system that allows an organization to manage incoming and outgoing phone calls and also allows communication internally within the organization.
It provides features like Transfers, Voicemail, Call Recording, interactive voice menus (IVRs), Queues, and other useful features.
Here, we walk through adding a PBX Recording, which you can use as an Audio File to be played for certain PBX features, such as Announcements.

Before You Begin
Only Audio files within the Account's Audio Library can be selected as PBX Recordings.
- To learn about adding new files to your Library, see Upload New Audio Media.
Adding a PBX Recording
1.) Click the Phone System main menu.
2.) Click the PBX Recordings menu option.
The Show Recordings page will open.
3.) Click the Add Recording button.
The Add Recordings page will open.
4.) Configure the Recordings Options.
- (A) Description: Enter a short description for this PBX Recording.
- (B) Select Audio File: Click the specific file from your Library.
- (C) Add button: Click this button to add the selected file to this PBX Recording.
5.) Click the Apply Changes button.
