Overview
Area Code Based Caller ID, sometimes called Local Presence, is a feature that allows you to control the Outbound Caller ID based on the Area Code of the Lead that is being dialed. Area code-based Caller ID (ACID) is a Campaign specific setting. Campaigns can be configured to use their own set of Area code-based Caller ID phone numbers.
The Campaign will use the default Caller ID when no Area Code Caller ID is found or when a certain Area Code is not in the Area Code Caller ID list.
Setting up Campaign Custom Caller ID and uploading multiple Caller IDs at once.
Note: Area code-based Caller ID can be configured to display a seemingly random phone number instead of displaying the actual Campaign Caller ID if no Area Code is found to match.

- (A) Area Code Calculation:
- Proximity - will subsidize the area codes with a limited amount of DIDs to provide up to the average amount of DIDs per area code.
- Standard - will try to use Area Codes that match when dialing Leads. For Area Codes with no DIDs, it will rotate through all DIDs owned.
- Neighboring - will bypass the DIDs owned for the area code and assign DIDs from
neighboring area codes. If there is no neighboring Area Code based on your Radius, it will use the same Area Code.
- (B) Area Code Radius:
This drop-down is only available for Proximity and Neighboring, so you can specify the size of your Radius in miles.
7.) Click the Add Area Code button to add new entries.
8.) Select the Country Code (US, UK, Australia, Japan, etc.), and type the Area Code and the Caller ID.
9.) Click the Apply Changes button.
Upload Multiple Caller IDs at Once
We can also add a list of Area code-based Caller IDs by uploading a CSV file. No header is needed.

5.) Click Choose File and select a file to upload.
6.) Ensure the selection in the File Type drop-down matches the file you have chosen.
7.) Select a Country.
Once a file has been chosen in the Upload File field, the Upload button will appear on the page.
8.) Click the Upload button to load the file.
Once the upload is complete, the Upload Results will be displayed, indicating whether there are duplicate or invalid numbers, the total number of successful uploads, if any numbers were skipped, as well as whether the numbers are owned by Convoso.

In the List Based ACID settings, you can see all the ACID uploaded in our List Based ACID.
Calculate Total Caller IDs in your ACID Lists
On the Show ACIDs page is the Calculate Total Caller IDs in ACID Lists button and Total Caller IDs Allowed. Together these tools help you to track your total Caller IDs across all ACID Lists, and ensure they do not exceed the total of 150,000.
- If creating a new List or uploading to an existing List exceeds the 150,000 limit, you will see this error modal warning that you have reached the DID Limit for your Account.
- Click the Calculate button to find out how many DIDs need to be deleted to make room for your new List.
- Delete one or more ACID Lists to reduce your total DIDs.
- You can also delete individual DIDs from your Lists. To learn more about removing DIDs from an ACID List, see Managing your List-Based ACID Settings.
