Here we will discuss how to configure TalkPro Shares for a Post Request. This feature, commonly used by Admins, utilizes API to integrate Lead information in our system with third-party systems.
1.) From the Dashboard, click Apps.
2.) Select TalkPro Shares from the drop-down menu.
3.) In the Show TalkPro Shares section, click on the drop-down box under the Action column, as shown in the image below.
4.) Select Settings from the Action drop-down menu.
5.) Edit the necessary information about the Vendor.
- Name – Vendor name is used for reference only and can be modified.
- API URL – Enter the API URL of the Vendor.
- API Authentication – If the Vendor is using an Auth Token, put that in this section.
- Request Method –
- POST – TalkPro Share will post to a third-party system.
- Post Data Type
- RAW - The system will send the Post String in RAW format.
- JSON - The system will send the Post String in JSON format.
- RAW - The system will send the Post String in RAW format.
- Output Data Type (E) – Select the Data Type that is compatible with the third-party API.

- This tells the system what type of data the third-party system uses to send a response.
Note: If this is not selected correctly, TalkPro will not understand the third-party's response which will result in a "null" or blank response entry in the TalkPro Share Logs.

- XML - (ex: <Values><value>value1</value><value>value2</value></Values>)
- TEXT - (ex: value1,value2,value3)

- Adaptor ID – If the Request method is POST, select the Adaptor ID assigned to the Vendor.

6.) Click the Save TalkPro Share button.
7.) To test the settings, click on the Test TalkPro Share button.
8.) To see the test result, click on the TalkPro Share Logs tab.
9.) Click on the View button for the selected log entry.
Note: Our system sends API posts on many servers. If your CRM has a Whitelist implemented on their end, they need to add this network range: 66.85.240.0/21
